Welcome to St John’s Music Ministry’s update!
As you have undoubtedly noticed, there’s been some very positive changes to the altar platform which now has access railings to a raised floor that extends throughout. What you don’t see though is the work that’s been done to prepare for the audio upgrade that will likely follow in the beginning of the year. While the altar platform was being constructed, we laid conduit and ran audio/video cables to facilitate the next phase of the audio upgrade. There’s still a number of things to do to complete the project but the cabling infrastructure is now put in place and soon we’ll be ready for the next phase.
In the meantime, our choir has been preparing for Advent and Christmas (10:00 PM Mass Christmas Eve). As in the past, we will be playing 30 minutes of carols prior to the start of Mass. Please come a bit early and join us in singing and celebrating the birth of our Savior.
Thanks again for all your kind words welcoming us back this season. We are here for you and appreciate any and all comments/critiques that will help us to provide a better musical accompaniment to our liturgies. As I’ve mentioned in the past, please consider joining our group. We love what we do and take pride in creating a musical atmosphere that supports the Liturgy and hopefully encourages our congregation to sing God’s praises.
